This garden renovation for a young family in DC started during the pandemic and continues to evolve.   We added a mid-century modern flair with exposed aggregate pathways and floating stairs, a pergola for lounging and a horizontal cedar fence for privacy.   River birch, sedges and hydrangeas add texture and color to the shady yard.
